Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Initial
This training covers the procedures for asbestos abatement in accordance with State, County, and Federal regulations. This course is 40 hours long (5 days) and we cover in length book material like health risk, PPE requirements, removal techniques, etc. In addition we do provide hands on training that will teach students how to build a containment, glove bag procedures, and final clean up exercises. We also cover aspects like bidding, bonding, insurance, project log book, etc. Each student must complete a 100 point exam to pass the course and receive their certification from GST.
Asbestos Worker Initial
This training covers the procedures for asbestos abatement in accordance with State, County, and Federal regulations. This course is 32 hours (4 days) and covers course materials such as PPE, health risk, removal techniques, engineering controls, etc. During hands on we train students on how to build a containment, glove bag procedures, and final clean up exercises. Each student must complete a 50 point exam to pass the course and receive their certifications from GST.
Asbestos Worker Refresher
This training is the yearly follow up to the worker initial that is required by the state. The worker refresher is 8 hours (1 day) that refresher students on regulations, any updates or changes in standards. We refresher students on current clearance levels, engineering controls, and PPE requirements. Any concerns, questions students have will also be addressed.
Asbestos Building Inspector Initial
This training is for anyone looking to extract a bulk sample from a building, home, school, etc and creating an inspection report. This course covers the history, uses for asbestos, health risk, PPE requirements, as well as Inspection requirements as defined by AHERA, State, and County requirements. There is a wide variety of people who have taken this course from Contractors to County officials, Maintenance crews, Consultants, etc. Each student must pass a 50 point exam to receive their certification from GST.
Asbestos Building Inspector Refresher
This training is the yearly follow up to the Building Inspector initial that is required by the state. The Inspector refresher is 4 hours (1/2 day) that refreshes students on Inspection techniques, PPE requirements. Any concerns, questions students have will also be addressed.
Asbestos Management Planner Initial
**Building Inspector is a Pre-Requisite**
This training is for anyone who has completed the building inspector initial and wishes to review inspections reports and form a response action in a school. This course is a 2 day (16 hour) training. Areas covered will include different types of abatement options, creating an O&M program, analyzation methods, and AHERA requirements. Each student must pass a 50 point exam to receive their certification from GST.
Asbestos Management Planner Refresher
This training is the yearly follow up to the Management Planner initial training that is required by the State. This course is a 4 hour (1/2 day) course that is usually scheduled right after the Building Inspector refresher. Any concerns, questions students have will also be addressed.
Asbestos Project Designer Initial
This training is for anyone who intends on developing project specs, scopes of working, and cost estimating projects. We will cover current AHERA, EPA, State, Federal, and County regulations in addition to PPE requirements, engineering controls, air testing, etc. This course is 3 days (24 hours) and each student is required to pass a 100 point exam to receive their certification from GST.
Asbestos Project Designer Refresher
This is the yearly follow up to the Project Designer initial training that is required by the State. This course is 8 hours (1 day) and will review current regulations, and any updates to regulations. Any concerns, questions students have will also be addressed.
